USPS Announces End to Saturday Delivery

Dominic Bonacci, COO of the BEP Institute noted that the USPS' announcement occurred during February's Go Direct Month - an initiative of the U.S. Treasury and Federal Reserve to encourage direct deposit and other electronic transfers of money. The ability to receive/send money electronically has business continuity implications in situations where you are not available to receive checks at your mailbox due to large scale evacuations or massive damage or in situations where your mailbox is inaccessible due to fire or infrastructure failures (such as a water main break).
